I would highly recommend if you are thinking of doing a TEFL Course to do through The TEFL Institute of Ireland. I was in contact with Sórcha who recommended the best course for me. I have recently completed the 180-hour Level 5 Diploma with 10 hour Virtual TEFL course. I highly recommend it to anyone who is about to start their TEFL journey.It has been a great experience. I have gained so much knowledge and information. The structure of the course is perfect, you learn about teaching methodologies, phonology, grammar, lesson planning and so much more.My tutor Michelle Benson, was absolutely brilliant. She was kind, thoughtful and very enthusiastic. The 10 hours virtual course was done over two morning and on the second day we got to be a teacher for 5 minutes. This really showed how careful and structured the lesson plan needs to be, it is important to stick to the level of the students and explain everything clearly, but also use the PPP method. The feedback that I have received from both Michelle and my classmates was very helpful. It has given me a great insight as to what teaching really involves.I am looking forward to taking on some more of the add on courses available, which will broaden my knowledge and help me throughout my teaching career.Once again I would like to thank Michelle, she was absolutely brilliant.If anyone is considering the TEFL course, I would 100% recommend it ! :)
