Warsaw has a good reputation for giving public education to all, and both primary and secondary schools teach English as a foreign language. As lessons for English tend to start at a young age, you’ll be able to teach at whatever level you choose. 

International Schools

Many people move to Poland to live and work, meaning there are international schools across the country, and a few are located in Warsaw. Part-time positions may offer an hourly rate ranging from 40 to 80 PLN per hour. If you want to live in the centre of Poland, you will find that it’s the same just about everywhere that you go. If you live in Warsaw, within the city limits, then you’ll probably have to pay more for things like rent and utilities. With that being said, if you are happy to make the commute, then you can probably find yourself a flat to rent just outside the city and pay a reduced cost.

This is great if you are working within the city limits, because you can still pick up the improved salary that comes from a higher cost of living.

If you are going to live in Poland, we encourage you to eat like a local. Trying to get food from your previous country imported can be very expensive, and it will consume most of your budget. However, you can eat well and cheaply if you stick to local cuisine. It will also help with your integration.

You will discover that living on a teaching wage isn’t very difficult. It can be easy to enjoy your life and live comfortably if you save your money and don’t make any reckless financial decisions.
