You have the opportunity to spend the summer in this lovely nation, gain priceless experience, and enjoy all the wonders that Germany has to offer. You will be organizing educational games and teaching conversational English lessons, especially for young students, throughout this summer camp internship.

Overview
Teaching in this placement will be the ideal way to have fun and experience great enjoyment while you learn valuable teaching skills! You’ll have the opportunity to design engaging lessons packed with fun activities, small field trips, teaching English to kids through songs, or even bringing a fresh perspective to TEFL with the Yoga & Mindfulness course included in this package. You’ll be teaching lessons that will be memorable and may offer interesting changes in perspective.

What’s required before applying?
- Native English speaker
- Passport holder from one of the following countries: USA, Canada, Australia, UK, Ireland, or New Zealand
- Aged between 19 – 30
- High school graduate
- TEFL qualified (included)
- Proof of a clean criminal record
- First aid certificate (training can be completed in orientation week for additional fee)
- In good physical and mental health
What do I need to organize?
- International flights (non-EU applicants will need to book return flights)
- Spending money for tourist activities during free time etc.
- Camp essentials - budget £75 for a sleeping bag and mat if you prefer not to bring one
- Travel insurance - It’s really important to sort your travel and health insurance before you go. However, you’ll have access to an emergency doctor
- Proof of a clean criminal record
- Budget £65 to join the First Aid course at camp if you don't hold a valid certificate
- Visa costs for non-EU applicants
Internship Eligibility Form
When you arrive, our in-country team will greet you and the other interns. After the one-week orientation, you’ll travel to your placement area.
After orientation in Walsrode you’ll be placed in one of five nationwide camp locations: Lüneburger Heide, Regen, Amrum Hachen & Möelln. You’ll be placed at the most suitable camp by our team.
Teaching couldn’t be more enjoyable and fun during this placement! With a Yoga & Mindfulness course included in this package, you will be able to create fun lessons full of games, mini field trips, teach children English songs, or even bring a new perspective on TEFL.

Are you wondering what you’ll do outside of your classroom in Germany? Meals, laundry, internet, and transportation to and from excursions or other camp locations are all included, so you can spend your allowance however you want! This one-of-a-kind paid position provides you with much more than just travelling to Germany. You will become a competent TEFL teacher and will gain a basic understanding of German culture.

All the programmes are in German adventure summer camps. TEFL teachers can expect to teach children between the ages of six and sixteen conversational English. Camp activities include language workshops, games, and traditional sports.

Your work week typically runs week-long, with 15 hours of actual lesson time. This allows for up to 35 hours of recreational activities per week and some time for lesson planning.
