What will I learn
Business English is an offshoot of a TEFL career – it is a niche skill you can learn to improve your earning potential. Business English is used worldwide, so you’ll have job prospects available in most places.
Speaking English is a skill that is becoming more important in the workplace. Businesses are always expanding worldwide, so it becomes the responsibility of individual companies to ensure staff are ready to work on a global level. Business English helps a lot with ensuring that workers understand what’s going on. Due to increasing demand for the lessons needed, TEFL teachers with this specialist skill are in high demand.
Once you’ve completed the 30-hour course we offer, you’ll get access to a skill set that will help you earn more money and improve your reputation physically and online. You can add this qualification to your resume and use it to work with companies in Canada or go abroad and teach – the choice is yours.
The Business English qualification you get from us will help you teach in many different settings – online, in schools, and in workplaces worldwide.

Accreditation
Our 30-hour teaching Business English course usually works in harmony with the Level 5 qualification we offer, and that certification is approved and accredited by Highfield Qualifications. They work directly with Ofqual and have designed an accreditation meant for people who either have no teaching experience or people who do have experience but need to get a qualification to formalize their skills. Our qualification is recognised worldwide, so you don’t have to worry about whether or not it’s accessible for you, and we encourage people to use it to help apply for jobs and visas wherever they happen to go. For more information, look at the Highfield Level 5 Certificate in Teaching as a Foreign Language or visit the Ofqual website to get a proper understanding of what we offer.
The Accreditation Council for Distance Learning
The Accreditation Council for Distance Learning is a special accrediting body that focuses on distance learning providers and works hard to ensure a significant level of excellence among them. Many of these providers have the special seal of approval the ACDL offers to businesses. We’re proud to have earned our accreditation from them through a rigorous testing process, and our accreditation entry is 2854-2540, so you’re welcome to look us up.
The Vital Consular:
The Vital Consular differs from other types of accreditation because it’s not really accreditation; it’s a seal of verification instead. Here’s the thing – we are a verified TEFL provider in the UK, and we’re proud to have earned that. You can take one of our courses and go anywhere in the world you like with it, and it’ll be authentic and valid for entry into other countries. This is because we’ve sought out the Vital Consular, which is a verification scheme to get all the members of a qualification approved by the UK government.
So, if you decide to go somewhere like China, Vietnam, Taiwan or other places, you need to be able to authenticate all your documents if you want to get a visa. That’s where this scheme comes in – the British government is naturally recognised as being a legitimate authority. This means you can use the qualification immediately and not have to worry about getting it legitimised.
As a globally recognised TEFL provider, you’ll find that the academic team has worked hard to deliver a series of courses designed to give you the finest education. We’re proud of our reputation as being one of the best and work hard to keep it that way.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is TEFL?
TEFL is Teaching English as a Foreign Language. As a TEFL Teacher, your goal is to help non-native English speakers read, write, understand and speak English without needing a translation tool. You will need certain qualifications to do so which are available in the courses we offer people.
Who can do a TEFL course?
Anybody can sign up for and complete a TEFL course. However, we advise that when you do so, you think about the type of person you are – you need to be outgoing and confident to succeed. We recommend that our learners have a C1 level of English proficiency, too – it’ll make a big difference when it comes to understanding the course content.
What do I need to teach online?
If you want to teach via the web, you need teaching experience. We suggest volunteering or signing up for our 10-hour Methodologies course. Nearly all providers will ask for a TEFL qualification, stable wi-fi and a desktop or laptop. Some positions will also ask for a degree.
How are the courses laid out?
Our courses mix written material, video, photo and audio content. You can learn according to your preferred learning style, which you’ll come to learn, which is key for growth in any student. The courses are completed online and can be accessed 24/7 via the learning platform. You can learn at home in Canada or abroad; the choice is yours.
Specialist courses like our 30-Hour Teaching Business English course are meant to supplement a bigger qualification. You will complete this course separately, and all tests will be automatically graded. All specialist courses contain the same mix of written, photo, audio and video content.
Are the courses accredited?
The TEFL Institute has received full ACDL accreditation. The 180-hour Level 5 Course is uniquely regulated by Ofqual, which works in the UK.
Is this course completely online? How flexible is this course?
You can complete any course offered by the TEFL Institute online. There are no travel requirements for testing. The course is accessible 24/7, with one exception: there is a 10-hour virtual training scheme for some courses which only run at specific times. The TEFL courses we offer are made for flexibility, so you can complete them while balancing other commitments. You have six months to complete the course – we offer extensions if necessary.
