Overview
Our TEFL internship programmes take away all the stress of planning to teach English abroad yourself. All the organisation and administration of securing an English teaching job in Thailand is done for you by our TEFL experts. You’ll get 120 hours of accredited online TEFL training, followed by four to five incredible months of paid teaching in this beautiful country.
On arrival in Bangkok, you and your fellow TEFL teachers will begin an unforgettable three-day orientation in one of the most vibrant and exciting cities in the world. Our dedicated Thai team will be there from the very start, and support you every step of the way. When your teaching placement is over, you even have a chance to stay longer. What’s required before applying?
- Native English speaker
- 21-45 years old
- Passport holder from one of the following countries: USA, Canada, Australia, UK, Ireland or New Zealand (If you hold a EU passport, please contact one of our advisors.)
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (official hardcopy required)
- Academic transcripts (official hardcopy required)
- TEFL qualification (included)
- In good physical and mental health
- Proof of a clean criminal record
- Be adaptable, open minded, outgoing and sociable with students
What do I need to organise?
- International flights (return flights are a must)

- Comprehensive cover for travel & medical insurance
- Vaccines (consult your GP or local travel clinic)
- Visa cost (reimbursed in your first month’s allowance)
- Costs to legalise your degree for visa purposes
- Accommodation allowance is given but additional rent costs may be required
Internship Eligibility Form
Travel to Bangkok airport (BKK) where you will take a short taxi ride to your orientation hotel.
Your orientation will help you to prepare for your exciting new journey in Thailand before you start teaching. After the orientation, you will receive a full onsite induction on arrival will last around 3 days.
It’s time to start teaching. You will be mostly teaching learners ranging in age from 5 – 18 years old with mixed English ability. From beginners to more advanced students. You can prepare to teach approx. 25 hours plus some time to plan your lessons following the in-house curriculum.
Your goal as an intern English teacher will be focused mostly on conversational English practice but you might be asked to share some of your knowledge on a different subject from geography to maths, depending on your CV and degree. You will be given a lot of materials from the school itself but feel free to log in to your TEFL course and create some new ideas and topics.
With weekends off and a great start-up salary to enjoy, you will have a long list of sightseeing and travel plans around Thailand!

Work Schedule
If you want to teach English in Thailand, you won’t find a more rewarding internship than this. Your role as a teacher includes up to 24 hours of in-class teaching per week, Monday-Friday. Your classes will be divided into kindergarten, primary and secondary school students, with an age range of 3 to 17. Lessons will focus on spoken and written English proficiency, and you will have the opportunity to make the learning engaging and fun for the students.
