Easter Easter (Paska) is the most important holiday in Greece and is celebrated with feasts of roasted lamb, processions and folk-dancing. On Good Friday colorful parades begin at the Orthodox churches and converge on the main squares in all villages, cities and towns. Walking through neighborhoods in Athens on Easter Sunday, you may be invited to share roast lamb. Be sure to save room for the special Easter breads and sweets.
